The Group continues to expand with the acquisition of i-to-i TEFL in July 2015, a leading player in the TEFL industry worldwide. i-to-i has provided courses to over 135,000 students over the last 20 years with over 250 years of combined TEFL experience across its TEFL tutors and academic experts. With the addition of this brand The Real Experience Group commands a market leading position in this sector and will continue to use this brand to grow its international presence in English speaking countries outside of the UK.
With the acquisition of The English Studio we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Bush as Managing Director – Education, previously Managing Director for TUI Travel plc’s Experience English and Neil Harvey as Managing Director – The English Studio, previously a director for Kaplan International English. Mark has the exciting role of expanding our position in this sector so that we become a leading chain of quality language schools in the UK, Ireland and US.
We are delighted to announce that the Group has added a new business to its portfolio by completing the acquisition of The English Studio on 26 May 2015. A business ideally located in central London offering high quality accredited English Language Training. Teaching English to over 6,000 foreign students annually who travel to London from over 80 countries worldwide. The English Language Training market has been in our sights for some time and this acquisition will give The Real Experience Group a solid platform to grow a group of quality language schools across the UK, Ireland and US.
The Group appoints Mark Shackelford as Chief Technology Officer. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience in IT programming in particular, having held senior IT roles across a number of business sectors. The Group is expanding at a pace where we believe this is an essential role to drive the overall IT strategy for the Group, aligned with our vision of being a leading edge innovative group of businesses that brings a high level of service to our customers.

Since acquiring Kinlay Group in 2002, our dedicated team has taken the business from strength to strength, carving a solid niche as leading providers of affordable, educational and experiential opportunities for learners of all ages. Acquisitions, start-ups and entry into the UK market have taken us into a new chapter so we decided it was only fitting to create a new name and brand that reflects this.
